    Job Summary

    Rare opportunity to lead the litigation department as the trial attorney for LA Injury Attorneys. The successful candidate will supervise a team of discovery clerks, paralegals, and litigation secretaries to work up cases for settlement/ preparation for trial. This position may be semi-remote with endless possibilities based on one's work ethic and skills as a trial attorney.

    Job Description Candidate will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the progression of all litigated cases in the firm from filing to trial/settlement, while working in conjunction with the partner, associate, and support staff. Qualified candidates must have a thorough understanding of civil procedure and trial advocacy to be able to work within the various aspects of litigation, including: propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions, briefs, and meet and confer letters, as well as reviewing legal documents and correspondence prepared by staff. Candidate must have knowledge of trial procedures and case management in both state and federal courts and experience with law and motion practice in both. Candidate must be able to conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide guidance and direction to staff and clients. Attorney will meet with clients in-person, attend depositions, court hearings, and trials.

    We are looking for candidates that have excellent oral and written communication skills, can handle a moderate case load, are team players with a service attitude, and have a superior ability to maintain effective relationships with other attorneys, staff and the general public. The candidate should be outgoing, creative, intelligent, professional, and polished. Attorney will need to meet with and/or communicate with clients, as well as staff, to resolve cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner.

    Candidate must demonstrate ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment, and should also be flexible to work overtime if necessary. Excellent organizational skills and time management are a must.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare briefs, motions, and other legal documents

    Conduct legal research

    Prepare for and attend legal proceedings

    Negotiate on behalf of clients

    Maintain detailed and accurate client records

    Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants

    Qualifications

    7+ years of personal injury law experience

    Licensed to practice law in California, in both state and federal courts

    Possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel throughout the state to attend court hearings and trials

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite

    Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

    Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients

    Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
