FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to work on a full time basis. The responsibility of this position is to manage purchasing of raw material and finish goods. Looking for someone who has an eye for detail and good at managing their own workload. Previous experience of purchasing would be preferred. We offer opportunities for career progression for someone starting out within procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage the inputting of prices, lead times and other data into the Company's Business Information System (SAP) SAP-B1 ERP system a plus
To manage the Purchase Requisition process - converting validated requisitions into Purchase Orders and distributing to relevant stakeholders To ensure Purchase Orders include all relevant information in-line with Sourcing and Business requirements To resolve issues relating to online Purchase Orders from internal Customers and external suppliers in a timely manner To maintain an accurate 'base data' within the computer-based system To ensure a timely resolution of Invoices Queries To assist in the Request For Quote process, obtaining quotes and selecting Suppliers for requisitions
Objective Ensuring all relevant contractual data/information is inputted and maintained within Company's Business Information System (SAP) Manage the purchase of all items and order placement process for overhead orders
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS:
· Minimum 2-years Shipping experience
· Experience must include USPS, UPS, FEDEX
· Experience with shipping software such as ShipWorks
· Microsoft Office including Word & Excel
· SAP-B1 ERP system a plus
· Inventory cycle counts and adjustments
· Some knowledge of automotive products
· Able to work systematically, independently, and accurately
· Self-motivated with ability to organize and prioritize tasks
· Able to demonstrate good judgment and accountability
· Must exhibit high degree of personal integrity and maintain confidentiality
· Reliable and organized, mindful of protecting company assets
· Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and courteous nature
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others
· Willingness to understand and improve the company system
· Team oriented with keen attention to detail
· High school graduate, high school diploma or GED
· Must have flexible schedule and ability to assume increased responsibilities
· Ensure Supplier communications/orderbooks and system data are correctly managed, and delivery commitments are met.
