    Job Description

    NOTE: This is currently a fully remote work position, but will transition to our Baltimore offices in late summer/early autumn 2021.

    L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. is seeking a creative and polished Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join us at our office in downtown Baltimore, Maryland working on two US Department of Commerce projects.

    The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Director and leadership team and serve as liaison to governmental agencies, clients and other community and business leaders. He/she will be responsible for managing front office procedures including reception and clerical duties (i.e. greeting visitors, screening calls, and file maintenance). Administrative duties include drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, calendar and database management, and generating timely reports as directed by leadership; will also delegate work to interns. Must be time conscious and a dependable team player.

    The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate professional competency, discretion and confidentiality; work well under pressure and prioritize complex tasks and multiple projects with strong attention to detail; contextualize information and make sound procedural decisions/judgement. Must have strong organizational skills and self-direction. He/she is a creative problem-solver who can contribute to procedure and process improvement and implement other efficiencies without changing the integrity of the work.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. MICROSOFT SKILLS WILL BE TESTED. Must be tech savvy with the ability to manage content on various social media platforms. Five plus years of administrative experience in a professional environment with strong business acumen and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Political Science or related field.

    Preferred skills include: experience with business development, State and Federal procurement, contracts administration, various business enterprise certification types (i.e. DBE, MBE), meeting and event planning; SendInBlue, Word Press, and web-based conferencing. Experience with Salesforce not required but a really strong plus.
