    Job Description

    Proactively researches and investigates customer account issues, and monitors the accounts as appropriate. Monitors and controls non-payments, delayed or delinquent payments, and other anomalies. Responds to inquiries, and researches and resolves problems related to transactions. Assists with bank and vendor relationships. Develops, implements, and administers financial and accounting policies, procedures, processes, and systems. Is involved in the preparation of various internal financial reports. Assists the General Accounting, A/P as required. Other duties may be assigned.

    SPANISH FLUENCY IS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS JOB EFFICIENTLY.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in accounting; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have general knowledge of GAAP.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and ratios.

    REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

    COMPUTER SKILLS - To perform this job successfully, an individual should know QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365 (Outlook), Internet Software (Google Chrome), and have strong typing skills.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Experience using office equipment, including printers and fax machines
    • Strong communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
    • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
    • Self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, and creative
    • Quick learner, accuracy, and attention to detail

    Additional Information

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
