    LA Injury Attorneys is a dynamic Burbank based personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary for immediate consideration. Requirements: Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in litigation, possess a valid driver's license, and have their own transportation. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Other requirements include a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Word Perfect with a typing speed of at least 65 wpm. Excellent organizational skills and time management a must. Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Experience with Needles case management program is preferred, but not required. Spanish speaker is preferred, as our client base is mostly Hispanic and you will have direct contact with clients who only speak Spanish on a daily basis in order to provide them with case information and updates. Job Description: Responsible for organizing and overseeing the progression of all litigated cases in the firm while working in conjunction with the partner, an associate, and trial counsel. Looking for candidates that have excellent oral and written communication skills, are team players with a service attitude, and have a superior ability to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, staff and the general public. Candidate will work within the various aspects of litigation, including propounding and responding to discovery, scheduling mediations and depositions, and calendaring. Must be experienced in all aspects of trial preparation including putting together trial binders, preparing trial subpoenas, scheduling witnesses for appearance at trial, and be knowledgeable of all trial related deadlines. Duties will also include preparing pleadings, setting up motions, and helping to draft, type, format and proof-read legal documents and correspondence. Preparation of documents for filing, including verification of signatures, proof of service, mailing etc. Write mediation briefs, trial briefs, and MSC briefs from scratch. You will also arrange, book, and coordinate travel and set up conference calls and CourtCalls. Also responsible for uploading scanned documents and file all correspondence related to litigated cases. Qualified candidates must have a thorough understanding of the processes of state and federal litigation. Must be experienced in, and knowledgeable of, e-filing, trial procedures, discovery, document production, document management, calendaring and case management. The candidate should be outgoing, creative, intelligent, professional, and polished. Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime.
