    Job Description

    SUMMARY: The VRI Manager provides front lines leadership to Language World Services VRI Interpreters. They recruit, supervise, mentor and support interpreters on all job duties. The VRI Manager also develops new and nurtures existing client relationships to ensure the growth and success of Language World, Inc.

    SALARY: $58,240 per year (Exempt)

     

    What will you be doing:

    • Supervising the work of an assigned group of interpreters building relationship and loyalty, reinforcing interpreter performance standards, managing performance and time
    • Interviewing and selecting VRI workforce
    • Employee orientation and development: Training Policy and Procedural functions employees must carry out including but not limited to: timecards, expense reports, time finishes, voucher submission and new hire orientation. Weekly check in’s with new interpreters for the first month
    • Overseeing interpreter time and attendance, schedules, and credential requirements
    • Ensuring coverage during employee requested time-off, vacation or sickness
    • Implementing and then evaluate all applicable regulatory quality assurance policies including but not limited to Interpreter Code of Professional Ethics, industry guidelines and HIPAA policies
    • Validating and Investigating customer quality complaints and non-conformance issues
    • Acting as subject matter expert in the call center
    • Working independently, and self-motivated with minimal oversight
    • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

    • Conflict management resolution skills to our internal and external customers
    • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality
    • Successfully provide clear, tactful, respectful communication in positive or negative situations. Can demonstrate group presentation skills and conduct meetings
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and the Internet

     

    Skills that will help you:

    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) applications
    • Paylocity
    • Spanish language proficiency
    • Experience with Medical Interpreting a plus
    • Internet-Savvy
    • I2S2 (proprietary software, internal to LWS) systems – will train
    • Proficiency in handling file extensions: .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg

     

    Requirements

    • Minimum of two years Supervisor/Manager experience in service environment with successful achievement in recruiting, training, coaching and managing performance of staff.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
