  • Responsibilities

    We are on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Program Analyst to support a long-term, ground-up, software development program for the Federal government. This large (Funded) program (50+ people) is expected to last at least five years.

    The Quality Program Analyst is responsible for planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of complex program operations. Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Evaluate and provide assessments of program/project software products (i.e. Software Development Plans, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Test Plans, etc.) and of applicable policies and guidelines.
    • Participate in and provide assessments of program/project milestone reviews (i.e. PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
    • Prepare audit plans, conduct internal audits, prepare reports, and track findings associated with the evaluation of software development process (i.e. Software Development Folder Audits, Software Configuration Management Audits, Software Requirements Traceability Audits, Peer Review Audits, etc.). Recommend improvements as necessary.
    • Participate in Federal Government program evaluations and audits.
    • Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
    • Support software quality assurance test activities during the appropriate software development life cycle phase.
    • Ensure software development process improvement opportunities are properly documented.
    • Provide training and/or participation in training.
    • Prepare and participate in metrics collection and analysis.
    • Prepare, evaluate, and provide assessments associated SEI Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

    Job Qualifications:

    • 9 years of relevant experience primarily in support of Federal Government programs
    • BS/BA degree
    • High degree of qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
    • Expert knowledge and demonstrated competence in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies & tools
    • Expert knowledge of CMMI in an Agile environment required
    • Considerable knowledge, skills, ability and proficiency with project management methodologies and practices
    • Expert knowledge of change management processes
    • Strong mentoring, coaching, and facilitating skills
    • Agile Practitioner Certification highly desired
