    Pacific Pros is seeking Construction Manager V for Construction Projects to be a representative for Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA).

    Work Location: LAWA has required the candidates be local for this position.

    Region: Los Angeles, CA

    Status: Full-time on-site.

    Position Description Summary Serve as Owner's representative.

    The T5 Sr. Construction Manager is responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces of all design and construction-related activities for the program. The T5 Sr. Construction Manager will focus on schedule certainty, budget delivery, and ensuring that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on the project. The T5 Sr. Construction Manager will support the development and implementation of design, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover plans; manage impacts to operations; ensure that risk mitigation for construction activities is optimized; coordinate with stakeholders; and ensure that LAWA standards are adhered to.

    The T5 Sr. Construction Manager will additionally report to the T5 Interface Manager to ensure that all project elements—including the concourse, headhouse, and site/civil work—are aligned, communicated, and executed efficiently. This role includes coordinating, managing, and resolving all interfaces among multiple contractors, design teams, stakeholders, utilities, and project management groups across the T5 Program to ensure that technical, operational, schedule, and logistical requirements are fully met.

    Knowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle, from pre-construction to estimating/buyout, phasing, implementation, and closeout

    Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with design and construction professionals, geared toward open communication and mutual problem-solving in the best interest of the project and all parties involved

    Essential Job Duties for this position

    Monitor all on-site field construction activities associated with project completion

    Apply comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines used during construction, including methods and techniques for installation

    Ensure construction operations follow approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs), and that all proper notifications are made

    Become thoroughly familiar with contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected

    Ensure all work is performed and inspected in accordance with the latest plans and specifications, including approved changes, submittals, and RFIs

    Work with the Design/Builder and stakeholders to develop overall construction planning and identify critical milestones and priorities

    Monitor budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule

    Monitor assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals

    Identify potential problem areas and take preventive action to ensure critical milestones are met for each project phase

    Ensure the use of sound and safe construction practices to achieve required quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost

    Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for senior management and clients

    Ensure effective implementation of all policies and procedures, including project labor agreement policies

    Contribute to the advancement of ADG’s goals through productive collaboration with all stakeholders

    Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate

    Participate in necessary coordination meetings with the Design/Builder, trade partners, stakeholders, LAWA Operations, and others

    Review contractor potential change order claims for merit and negotiate to final resolution

    Hardware/Software Knowledge

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

    Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems (PM Web)

    Required Qualifications

    20 years or more of experience, preferably on airport projects

    Experience with projects valued at more than $100 million

    Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build

    Proven ability to perform in a management capacity

    Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

    Multiple positions are anticipated — submitted experience should emphasize airport concourse scope, airport headhouse scope, or site/civil scope

    Minimum Education/Training

    Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or other related technical field required

    Master’s degree preferred

    Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or other relevant professional licensure and/or certifications

    May be required to work past regular work shifts

    May be required to work various shifts as needed

    This is a Monday–Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site at LAX

    The position will require the candidate to have the ability to transit to, from, and between project sites.

    After hours or weekend work may be required to perform the duties of the position. This shall be considered part of the salary.
