JOB ROLE SUMMARY

As a Project Scheduler you will be accountable for planning and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals or objectives of a project are accomplished within a prescribed time frame.  The Project Scheduler will provide schedule updates as required for each project.   

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

For all assigned projects:

• Establish and maintain familiarity with contract documents.
• Work with project team to finalize Contract schedule
• Update project progress every 2 weeks.
• Ensure all reporting, file naming, and baseline naming aligns with the formatting established by the department.
• Communicate with the Project Team, as needed, to acquire the information necessary to complete thorough schedule updates.
• Completes detailed schedule narrative using provided template, once a month.
• Completes detailed schedule narrative using provided template when significant changes have been made or when time has been taken out of the schedule.
• Monitor procurement and expediting progress for schedule updates and possible schedule impacts.
• Monitor and analyze progress against contract baselines and contractual milestones.
• Monitor resource/trade performance and stacking.
• Develop, track, analyze, and maintain impacts in the project schedule, as required, to properly reflect the entire scope of each impact.
• Assist Project Teams with recovery plans and provide schedule adjustments and reports documenting recovery plans.
• Perform quantity take off for project changes.
• Modify schedule based on plan and scope changes.
• Keep the Project Team informed of the state of the project schedule.
• Regular reporting to document each schedule update and all significant changes made to the schedule.
• Travel to projects as required

Department Reporting and Other Contributions

• Regularly contribute information for department reporting to upper management for all assigned projects.
• Periodically assist with project planning and schedule development.
• Assist the Operations Manager with periodic tasks related to project schedules, documenting or reviewing project progress, schedule analysis, or other tasks as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have 2+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor.
• Primavera (Oracle) P6 version 19 experience.
• Experience using On Center Software.
• Presentation skills required in meetings and in training.
• Must be able to read blueprints.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Retail, Multi-family, and other commercial projects preferred.
