Bilingual Expanded Function Dental Assistant
The primary function of the Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) is to assist the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in providing oral care. The EFDA collects health information, captures and records x-rays, prepares instrument trays, assists with procedures as required, records medical and other data in the Electronic Health Record, maintains PPE, and sterilizes operatories and instruments routinely. The EFDA is responsible for patient care and patient flow as well as health center duties including reception and check-out, maintaining inventory, stocking medical and other supplies, performing quality assurance, and keeping the office clean and orderly. Minimum Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
PA state certification as EFDA required
Dental radiology certification required
Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR/EHR (Athenahealth a plus)
