    -DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provides new client orientation; develops and prepares the client’s initial treatment and pre-discharge plans, conducts individual, group, and family therapy sessions, monitors client symptomatology and continually assesses the need for therapeutic intervention.

    Acts as part of the clinical team; coordinates face-to-face visits between physician and client ensuring follow-up per physician orders; reviews and updates individual treatment and pre-discharge plans; secures all required signatures and authorizations for treatment within the appropriate time-frame.

    When necessary, fulfils the role of the emergency clinical worker during client emergency situations assisting the physician and maintaining liaison with Crisis Intervention Units, ambulance services, crisis residential units, and hospital emergency departments.

    When assigned, provides the initial client assessment and conducts the intake interview, accurately documents all client services and completes appropriate paper work according to policy and procedure.

    Attend community and other events representing Haven House Clinical Staff

    Other Duties as Assigned.

    • REQUIREMENTS

    Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required. Candidate must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and have one (1) year of recognized experience and training in the psychopathology of mental illness, as well as the provision of clinical psychotherapeutic intervention and treatment for individuals with serious mental illness ages six (6) and older.
