    Job Summary Reporting to our Food and Beverage Management/Supervisory team, the Restaurant Host will professionally welcome guests to the restaurant and control the flow of seating, manage and create reservations, answer phone calls, and assist with service in the restaurant. The host will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.Responsibilities

    Know and be able to speak eloquently about the hotel and restaurant menu items.

    Gain insights into a guest's dining preference through verbal and nonverbal cues.

    Maintain the ambiance and service standards of the hotel throughout the dining experience.

    Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

    Prepare the room for dining by preparing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, polishing glassware, and polishing utensils.

    Utilize OpenTable to monitor and make reservations.

    Assist dining room team in tracking and recording guest preferences in guest profiles.

    Support servers in satisfying guest needs by taking direction and helping to serve all items.

    Assist with food and drink delivery when called upon.

    Respond to additional guest requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process.

    Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.

    Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems preferred.

    Ability to exercise personal discipline and extra diligence to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.

    Flexible Schedule- Willing and able to work shifts duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.

    Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. on a regular and continuing basis

    Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length

    Qualifications

    Education: High school or equivalent preferred.

    Experience: Minimum 1 year in similar position experience preferred. Opentable and Opera experience preferred.

    Licenses or Certificates: TIPS and ServSafe Food Handler Certification required.

    Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).
