Remedy Pest Control is seeking a skilled and motivated Wildlife Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and humanely removing wildlife from residential and commercial properties, as well as performing exclusion and prevention services to ensure that the animals do not return. The job also includes the use of lethal trapping as a last resort.

General Duties:

Respond to service requests for wildlife removal, exclusion, and prevention services.

Conduct inspections of properties to identify the wildlife species, and determine entry points and potential problem areas.

Safely and humanely remove wildlife animals, including but not limited to bats, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, skunks, snakes, and birds, using non-lethal methods whenever possible.

Set and monitor traps, and relocate or dispatch captured or trapped animals according to state laws and regulations.

Use lethal trapping as a last resort, when non-lethal methods are not practical or when allowed by law and regulation.

Perform exclusion and prevention services, including sealing entry points and installing barriers to prevent future wildlife intrusion.

Educate customers on wildlife behavior, exclusion techniques, and the importance of prevention.

Maintain accurate records of services provided, including animal captures, depredation, and exclusion work.

Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment and using humane and legal wildlife removal methods.

Create a positive company image with each customer interaction, while creating a lifelong client relationship

Job Qualifications:

3-5 years of professional experience

High School degree or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Experience in wildlife removal, pest control, construction, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of local wildlife species and behavior.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work in all types of weather and in confined spaces.

Physical ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Successful completion of a background check and drug screening

Required Skills:

Basic computer knowledge

Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport/credibility with customers

Possess a "can do" attitude with a strong work ethic
