Job Description

The Oligonucleotide Production Technician I will perform tasks associated with the production of modified oligonucleotides in a high throughput time sensitive manufacturing environment in compliance with company procedures and external regulatory requirements.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 3p.m. to 11:30p.m. and Friday 12p.m. to 8:30p.m. Swing shift does have a 10% Shift Differential.

• Perform routine maintenance of equipment used in manufacturing
• Perform quantitation, normalization and aliquoting of oligonucleotides according to established procedures using Spectrophotometers, micropipettes, automated Liquid Handlers and other lab equipment
• Assist with organizational work with the guidance of Lead, Supervisor or Manager
• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
• Initiate support tickets or repair tickets as necessary
• Able to follow all documented procedures
• Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system and diligently follows the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of LGC’s quality objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or Master's Degree preferred in Life Sciences.
• 0-2 years industry experience, and/or a combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel. Use of a web browser.
• Confident working around hazardous chemicals with proper training through the company’s EH&S policies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
• Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $ 20.913 / Hourly

Maximum: $ 34.855 /Hourly

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
