    We are ahigh-growth organization looking to accelerate the development andcommercialization of high-quality therapeutics worldwide. We have offices inCalifornia, Texas, Kentucky, Florida and Israel and are searching for a Temporary Microbiologist B for our CA location.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform microbiological assay of Cyanocobalamin (B12), Folic Acid, Niacinamide, Biotin and Pantothenic Acid on finished products.
    • Perform microbiological limit test, including but not limited to, Total aerobic microbial count, Yeast and Mold, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus,  E. Coli and  Salmonella.
    • Maintain the use of live microbiological agents and cultures.
    • Utilize, maintain, and troubleshoot microbiological instrumentation such as microscope, autoclave, incubators, refrigerators, freezers, biological safety cabinet, and automated microbiological incubation system.
    • Collect and analyze samples for environmental monitoring (water, swabs, and air) of microbiological load.  Evaluate data for trends.
    • Perform and document laboratory investigations as necessary.
    • Perform and document work in compliance with standard operating procedures, cGMP regulations, and applicable laboratory safety standards.
    • Review laboratory notebooks for accuracy and completeness.
    • Perform and/or assist with equipment calibrations and qualification.
    • Perform method validations, method transfers, and method troubleshooting.
    • Culturing and Freezing of Mold for use in Suitability studies.
    • Assist laboratory management in preparation for internal, customer and agency audits.
    • May be responsible for specific areas, functions, projects, and/or instrumentation based on experience and expertise.
    • Assist in training.
    • Other related duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or closely related discipline.
    • 1 - 3 years experience in microbiological and/or chemistry laboratory, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 1 - 3 years experience with aseptic technique and use of microbiological test methods.
    • Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Desire to work in a positive team environment.
