  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Level 1 (C)

    • Lubricates equipment with approved chemicals.
    • Fills hoppers with powder.
    • Observes the efficient and economical running of equipment and product.
    • Changes finished product drums with supervision.
    • Disassembles and cleans encapsulation equipment.
    • Stores and maintains the parts for encapsulation equipment.
    • Ensures that the machine, room, and support equipment are clean.
    • Work with Quality Assurance Department to verify all proper procedures have been followed.
    • Request materials for the encapsulating area as needed, with supervision.
    • Complete batch and other paperwork as needed.
    • Perform all duties according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
    • Keep a clean and neat work area. Remove trash and sweep or clean as needed. Follow cleaning SOP’s.
    • Other related duties as required.

    Level II (B)

    • Performs all of responsibilities of Encapsulator C job functions.
    • Takes random samples to be inspected by laboratory.
    • Request materials for the encapsulating area as needed.
    • Weighs out product after encapsulation process.
    • Performs capsules polishing.
    • All Level B responsibilities are performed with minimal supervision.

    Level III (A)

    • Performs all of responsibilities of Encapsulator B and Encapsulator C job functions with minimal supervision.
    • Stores and maintains the parts for encapsulation equipment.
    • Ensures that the machine, room, and support equipment are clean.
    • Works with Supervisor to train less experienced personnel in encapsulation.
    • Complete and peer review batch and other paperwork as needed.
    • Performs all Level A responsibilities with no supervision.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or GED or Technical trade school
    • 5+ years of related experience in a pharmaceutical environment
    • Ability to read and follow SOP’s.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
