Position: QC Chemist II
Location: LGM Pharma LLC
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Chemist II to join our team. The QC Chemist II will be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The QC Chemist II will also be responsible for calibrating and maintaining analytical instruments, preparing and maintaining accurate records of test results, and communicating any deviations or non-conformances to the appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis)
- Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of test results, including raw data, calculations, and interpretations
- Ensure that all testing is conducted in compliance with cGMP regulations and company policies
- Investigate and resolve any deviations or non-conformances in a timely manner
- Communicate test results and findings to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with method development and validation activities as needed
- Train and mentor junior staff members as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a QC laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and quality control practices
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
