We are seeking a dynamic Sales Coordinator. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales Managers (Group and Business Travel) and Director while being familiar with all aspects of the sales process. Assist in the organizing of groups/reservations/meetings and act as a liaison with the between clients, sales department, and the hotel.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Distribute daily incoming leads both electronic and via phone to appropriate Sales/Catering Team Members based upon office deployment
Redirect Sales related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
Act as a liaison with other departments or functions (Operations, Front Office, F&B, etc.)
Gather and submit all daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs, ex: Client amenities, gift certificates, individual reservation requests, proposals, site visit assistance and contracts
Perform customer site inspections when necessary
Participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Sales Meetings, BEO/Resume Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings and Planning Visits
Maintain office inventories, supplies and equipment
Must be courteous and gracious, consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
Previous hotel or hotel sales experience preferred
Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel, Word, and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Previous experience with Delphi, Opera, and Social Tables preferred
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
Excellent organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
