    Position Summary

    CereCore is seeking to hire an LIS Support Analyst, which will play a key role in supporting the Public Health Electronic Lab Reporting (PHELR) onboarding initiative for MEDITECH Expanse. This position is responsible for building, validating and supporting laboratory interfaces that connect Expanse to public health entities and external systems. The analyst will work closely with Laboratory and IT teams to ensure accurate data exchange, compliant workflows and successful onboarding for assigned sites.

    This role requires strong knowledge of laboratory integrations, MEDITECH Expanse Lab dictionaries and the technical expertise to troubleshoot, configure and validate LIS interfaces. Candidates with prior state onboarding or ELR integrations experience will be strongly preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Build, configure, and validate laboratory interfaces (HL7) within MEDITECH Expanse to support ELR onboarding and other integrations.
    • Collaborate with internal project teams, laboratory personnel, and external partners to complete integration and validation activities.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot LIS interfaces to ensure accuracy and performance throughout onboarding and testing phases.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and public health reporting requirements during ELR setup.
    • Perform quality assurance checks, validation testing, and documentation of lab interfaces and data flows.
    • Support the development and maintenance of Expanse Lab dictionaries, ensuring consistency with best practices.
    • Document integration specifications, workflows, and testing results according to established project standards.
    • Participate in meetings with state or public health entities as needed to ensure successful onboarding and data transmission.
    • Provide technical and operational support to ensure accurate and timely laboratory data exchange.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for workflow optimization and integration efficiency.

    Requirements

    • Strong Lab interfacing experience, designing, building, and troubleshooting laboratory interfaces (HL7) that connect MEDITECH to third-party systems such as reference labs, middleware solutions, and public health agencies.
    • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) integrations, preferably with MEDITECH environments.
    • Experience with MEDITECH Expanse Lab dictionaries.
    • State onboarding or Public Health ELR integration experience highly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of HL7 messaging, data mapping, and interface engine principles.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration and connectivity issues independently.
    • Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Lab, IT, and vendor partners.
    • Self-directed and accountable with a high degree of attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
    • Demonstrated adaptability and customer service orientation.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
    • Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience will be considered.
