Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.
Create lesson plans, activities, and educational materials that cater to the individual needs and interests of each child.
Foster a love for learning by providing engaging and interactive educational experiences.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines to promote discipline and positive behavior.
Manage and supervise children during various activities, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
Individualized Attention and Support:
Observe and assess each child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs or challenges.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to address and meet the unique needs of each child.
Social and Emotional Development:
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation among children.
Encourage social interaction and the development of healthy relationships among peers.
Help children navigate and express their emotions in a constructive and age-appropriate manner.
Communication and Collaboration:
Establish open and effective communication channels with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences and provide progress reports on each child's development.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff members, and administrators to coordinate activities, events, and educational programs.
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for young children.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and changing work environment.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
