Training & development

We welcome you to apply and become an ABA therapist who works with children with mild autism. Licensed Master of Social Work and Registered Nurses qualify for the position. All training is paid and provided for the position.

Responsibilities Include:

· Develop creative programs and activities for children with developmental disabilities in order to improve social and cognitive functions

· Encourage the child’s participation in in goal-orientated activities

· Work closely with families to provide information and skills necessary to enhance the development of the child

· Work with families and other service providers to achieve a child’s IFSP or EIP goals

· Provide services in home, school-based and daycare centers

· Daily data collection

· Maintain regular progress reports and attend meetings related to the child

Requirements:

· Certified in New York State as a Teacher of:

· Special Education

· Students with Disabilities Birth-2

OR

· LMSW Certificate or RN License

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Good technical skills and the ability to learn new databases

Preferred:

· Bilingual a plus

· Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Instruction preferred but will train

· Experience working in home-based programs, schools or daycares
