We are seeking an energetic Assistant Teacher for our Montessori Classroom to work with children ages 3 - 6 years. Hours are approximately 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Little Voyageurs is looking for an experienced person that is dedicated to the development of young children, meeting the children's collective and individual needs to help them reach their full potential.

Little Voyageurs’ is a non-profit Montessori school established in 1968.

Responsibilities:

Supervise children.

Follow a Montessori curriculum.

Be involved with outdoor activities.

Help with snack and other activities.

Qualifications:

Meets MN DHS Rule 3 requirements of a minimum 12 quarter credits of post-secondary education in qualifying child development areas and preferably at least one year experience.

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem solving and mediation skills.
