    Job Description

    LKB is seeking a marketing coordinator for a full-time role in our Syosset office. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks to support the firm’s public proposal efforts in both New York and globally. They will primarily be responsible for preparing responses to request for qualifications (RFQ), request for proposals (RFP), and letters of Interest (LOI) from municipal clients such as local Towns, Villages, Cities, Counties and State agencies throughout the country. In addition, this role supports the overall corporate marketing and business development teams, as needed.

    Preparation and assembly of high-quality, well-organized, eye-catching and easy to read, winning proposals are desired. These are prepared under tight, client-driven deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing public sector proposals and standard forms for an engineering firm. They will be comfortable reading and understanding the requirements of the RFQ/RFP in order to develop a well-organized response that meets the client’s evaluation criteria.

    This position requires interaction and communication with technical staff such as engineers, project managers, field personnel, marketing staff, and executives, to gather information needed for cohesive proposal submissions and qualifications packages.

    This is a full-time position in our LKB Syosset Office.

    Responsibilities:

    Potential proposal-related tasks may include the following:

    • Identifying and following RFP requirements to ensure requirements are met
    • Meeting and collaborating with technical staff and executive team to produce persuasive content
    • Assisting with content writing and layout
    • Drafting content; proofreading and editing
    • Coordination and organization of materials, documents, and forms (resumes, project sheets, graphics, etc.)
    • Generating standard forms (SF330, SF254, SF255)
    • Providing graphics support for strong visual aids and brand consistency
    • Handling final print and digital production to meet deadlines
    • Maintaining accurate information such as project descriptions in CRM system

    Potential marketing/BD-related work tasks may include the following:

    • Creating marketing materials (graphics, presentations, sales sheets, advertisements, etc.)
    • Developing social media posts
    • Website maintenance
    • Creating and distributing internal company communications (company newsletter, etc.)
    • Coordinating with technical staff to produce blog content
    • Misc. administrative support to the marketing/BD teams
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration or a related field, preferred.
    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience preparing proposal submissions for the AEC industry is preferred.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Knowledge/proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Knowledge/proficiency in Adobe InDesign
    • Knowledge/proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Project a plus
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent proofreading/editing ability
    • Creative eye and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Additional Information

    The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000 depending on level of experience.
