    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks associated with transportation and site development projects in the NYC and Long Island areas. This is a Summer 2024 internship and will be based out of the LKB Syosset Office.

    Responsibilities

    Potential work tasks may include assisting with and developing the following:

    • Providing engineering support to both Junior and Senior level staff
    • Conducting research for client project teams
    • Assisting with reports and data extraction
    • Collecting and compiling data
    • Roadway/highway alignments design
    • Drainage analysis and calculations including hydrological/hydraulic modeling
    • Design of parking lot layouts and site grading
    • Design of roadway pavement markings and signage
    • Assembling reports and final construction plans
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Internship positions are compensated at $20.00 - $22.50 per hour.
