PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Accounting Analyst will perform activities to support the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions. The Analyst/Clerk will participate in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. In addition to performance, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

- Education: High school diploma required. Associates or college degree preferred.
- Experience: 0 – 3 years relatable experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills.

- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of OPERA/General Ledger application ideal.
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to receive instructions and make reports with accuracy.
- Must show basic computer proficiency such as with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Must be knowledgeable about applicable laws regarding the operation of hotels and restaurants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform applicable retained Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting functions
- Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries, credit card charge back inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability
- Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed
- Complete month-end responsibilities
- Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel
- Participate in special projects, team training and development
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
- Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters
- Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support
- Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
- Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments
- Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management
- Follow the company's brand standards and code of business conduct.
- Keep informed of the company's values and ideal conduct. Act accordingly.
- Pursue the operational goal by carrying out all assignments tasked by a senior employee.
- Attend necessary training sessions as required by a training manager in accordance with any training plans.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Adhere to hotel grooming standards at all times
- Use professional and polished language in all written and oral communication

- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

- Oversee for cleanliness, organization and housekeeping/maintenance standards
- Stand for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Maintain proper posture while at the desk and work area.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
- Other duties as assigned

- Maintain a close, cooperative relationship with other departments to guarantee effective communication.
- Compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, fire prevention, health and safety standards.
- Supervise and maintain the availability, cleanliness and tidiness of items used in the department.
- Represent Lotte Hotel’s service standards to all customers and provide them with distinguished services.
- Respond to customer requests promptly and with accuracy
- Predict customer needs and strive to resolve complaints
- Maintain a high level of knowledge concerning hotel services in communicating with customers

- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures stipulated in the Cashier Bank Contract
- Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
