    Location: Louisville Healthcare CEO Council office (201 E Jefferson Street)

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9-5 PM (additional hours as needed)

    CEOC (Louisville Healthcare CEO Council) is comprised of some of the largest healthcare companies in the nation, all headquartered or founded in Louisville, KY. The CEOs of these companies, who make up the CEOC board of directors, organized the council to leverage the strengths and assets of their organizations to solve important national healthcare problems that extend beyond the scope of any one single member company. This is the nation’s largest cluster of healthcare and aging innovation companies. Collectively they span the entire continuum of care, represent more than $140 billion in revenue, 550,000 employees nationally and impact more than 80 million lives annually.

    Position Summary:

    The CEOC is seeking an Executive Director to lead its portfolio of innovation projects that address systemic healthcare challenges nationally while creating regional economic vibrancy. The Executive Director will be responsible for establishing the CEOC Healthcare Venture Studio which, over the next four years, will launch 7 new healthcare ventures aimed at improving operational efficiency and, as a result, care outcomes across the continuum as well as leading all aspects of CEOC Healthcare Innovation Engine. This position is funded by American Rescue Plan grant dollars.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Lead the development and execution of the CEOC Venture Studio which is responsible for formation of 1-2 NewCos per year (for a total of 7-8 over the life of the project)

    Lead fundraising strategy and execution to support venture studio.

    Develop relationships with healthcare executives, experts and investors to unearth insights which lead to Venture formation.

    Lead the CEOC Innovation Committee to oversee and guide all innovation efforts.

    Conduct Discovery Labs with stakeholders to generate insights into market need and develop/publish Discovery Lab report.

    Leverage insights generated from discovery labs to lead innovation searches in partnership with Aging 2.0.

    Support market research to validate ideas including analysis of the competitive landscape, existing clinical models, relevant regulatory changes, etc.

    Work with the Venture Studio firm to conduct a minimum of two sprint programs that result in the formation of NewCos.

    Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders in the innovation/entrepreneurial space to integrate the Venture studio within the local, state, and national innovation ecosystem

    Establish CEOC Venture Studio as a national model through presentations at national forums, publishing white papers/articles, etc.

    Submit regular grant progress reports on progress and activities

    Qualifications:

    Background Requirements:

    Minimum of five years of progress leadership experience within the healthcare industry

    Demonstrable experience at early-stage healthcare businesses, with a demonstrated understanding of how these businesses are built and what makes them successful

    Demonstrated ability to think across the healthcare services & technology market to identify the highest-value opportunities

    Motivation, perseverance and confidence to solve problems, take initiative and succeed in high pressure situations

    Demonstrated EQ and dynamic communication skills needed to quickly build trusting collaborative relationships

    Ability to manage complex, detailed projects while simultaneously thinking ‘big picture’
