    We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as an ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  This position requires an associate degree and at least six (6) months of experience in computer skills or office skills.

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience in a community college or university setting is preferred.

     

    WORKING HOURS:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours may vary during peak registration. Occasional evenings and weekends hours are required.

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT POSITION WITH A MINIMUM HOURLY RATE OF $12.64 with an approximate annual amount of $26,300.  Minimal additional compensation may be granted for education and/or experience exceeding the minimum stated job requirements.  This is at the sole discretion of Daytona State College.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

     

    • Process/finalize all bachelor level degree program applications.
    • Prepare correspondence to bachelor level degree program applicants and inquires.
    • Act as liaison between Admissions Office and the various academic areas offering bachelor level degree programs.
    • Prepare and maintain all student files for bachelor level degree program applicants.
    • Image all student files for bachelor level degree program applicants.
    • Enter high school and college transcripts into database for all bachelor level degree program applicants.
    • Transmit and correct discrepancy reports for all bachelor level degree program applicant data.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  The successful candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public; have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; have the ability to operate a PC, keyboard and mouse, and sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time.  The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively with diverse populations and various partner organizations, while providing quality customer service at all times.
