The Accountant is involved in full cycle accounting for the 20 plus individual companies for which LSGF Management provides accounting services. The right candidate is a detailed, proactive, and confident professional ideally with retail multi-unit, multi-state experience. Responsibilities
Complete month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
Analyze the balance sheet, P & L fluctuation, and expense variances
Post to and reconcile the GL
Complete inter-company transactions and reconciliations
Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage Fixed Assets
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Allocate credit card expenses
Invoice customers
Manage loan payments and reconciliations
Prepare property, sales and use tax returns, as well as business licenses
Compile consolidated reporting
Run “ad hoc” reporting as requested
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university or similar experience
Three to five years accounting experience is required
QuickBooks proficiency required
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office 365 skills
Prior Accounts Payable oversight experience preferred
Strong technical accounting background
Team player with ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sound business judgement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional, ethical, positive, helpful, responsive and reliable
Criminal background check will be required
