MDS Coordinator RN – Job Summary

• Shift: 09:00–17:00 (flex), 40 hours/week guaranteed

• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

• Facility: Person Memorial Hospital, Roxboro, NC

  • Joint Commission–accredited, full-service hospital

  • 98 licensed beds (38 acute including ICU; 60 extended care/skilled nursing)

  • 2nd trauma level, modern facilities, free parking

Role & Unit

• Position: RN – MDS Coordinator

• Department: Extend Care Unit / Skilled Nursing (ECU), 2nd floor

• Beds: 60 (geriatric population)

• Openings: 1

• Reporting to: DON / Administrator

Responsibilities

• Complete MDS assessments for skilled nursing residents

• Work independently as a self-starter in a geriatric care setting

Requirements

• Experience: RN with MDS Coordinator experience (preferred: 2 years)

• Certifications: MDS training required

• Education: RN

• Call/Weekends: Flexible; call potential

• Float: None
