  • Responsibilities

    VectorVMS is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The successful candidate will create, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for specific focus areas/product, or application. They will work independently to complete assigned tasks in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner. They must also perform moderately complex quality assurance tasks within an appropriate schedule using quality guidelines set in conjunction with the manager of the project.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Take ownership of the testing plan for the VectorVMS application.
    • Participate in triaging reported defects.
    • Create, Execute, and maintain automation tests within Selenium.
    • Perform testing with JSON/XML/REST API transactions.
    • Handle all the phases of the entire testing life cycle for multiple projects. This will include requirement gathering, analysis, feasibility study, and test case creation.
    • Execute, generate reports, and maintain test scripts. 
    • Ensure development life cycle testing methodology meets accepted standards.
    • Participate within a cross-functional SCRUM team of Engineers and Product Managers facilitated by a Scrum Master.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Basic problem solving skills.
    • Effective test plan creation and execution skills.
    • Familiarity with using common software deliverables (e.g. data models, design documents, requirements documents, etc.)
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Experience testing within a SaaS environment.
    • Experience with Azure, Git, or other source control technologies.
    • Experience with continuous integration (CI) and CD tools like Azure, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis.
    • Experience creating test pipelines.
    • Experience with UI test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium).
    • Ability to design, test, maintain, and implement automation test scripts.
    • 2+ years of experience implementing automated tests.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL and web (micro)services consumption.
    • Working knowledge in Agile, SCRUM, or Kanban process.
    • Comfortable with programming in Java or Microsoft technologies.
    • Ability to work effectively with team members in remote office locations.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
    • Familiarity with multiple PC and mobile device operating systems as well as their supported internet browsers.
