PAYROLL SPECIALIST - Baltimore / Columbia MD

Full Time, Monday - Friday position

MUST HAVE PAYROLL PROCESSING EXPERIENCE - Larger Organization Team Size - ADP experience

Len the Plumber Heating and Air is searching for our next superstar! We are searching for a top-performing Payroll Specialist! Len the Plumber’s Payroll clerk is responsible for ensuring that LTP’s weekly Payroll operations and related activities are completed accurately and on time each week to ensure all employees are paid properly, and the necessary reporting is completed.

Experience with large Teams, multiple company / payrolls, ADP, SAGE INTAACT is preferred

Essential Job Functions:

• Create a new weekly payroll cycle in ADP
• Ensure that payroll for field staff from Operations is entered into ADP
• Enter commissions and finders fees applicable to personnel into ADP
• Ensure reimbursements to employees are included in payroll weekly
• Ensure employee deductions for tools and Misc. expenses are properly recorded in payroll
• Ensure employee timesheets are properly recorded weekly in payroll
• Review and prepare weekly payroll batches from ADP system
• Generate weekly journal entries to record payroll in the GL
• Generate monthly payroll accrual for entry into GL
• Prepare Payroll reports for management review
• Prepare weekly fund transfer requests for payroll funding
• Maintain complete and accurate files of all completed payrolls
• Transmit approve payroll files to ADP for payment of weekly paychecks
• Performs other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ADP software a plus
• Previous payroll experience a plus
• Microsoft Excel Experience
• Ability to manage competing demands
• Strong attention to detail
