Lux 18 is a creative fashion agency that helps brands expand their presence through retail, marketing and global distribution. We work with some of the most recognizable brands in streetwear. In addition, we work with specialty, department and off-price retailers as their sourcing and buying arm. We are located in downtown Los Angeles, California.
We are searching for a hard-working, detail oriented bookkeeper with experience in a high-volume work environment. Job duties include working closely with our back office to reconcile transactions, create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal requirement compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance degree and is familiar with Quickbooks Online.
Responsibilities:
Matching transactions daily and organizing general ledger entries
Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, reconciling entries, and ensuring legal compliance
Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Organizing monthly statements and reviewing statements with accountant and CEO
Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
Maintaining a balanced general ledger
Processing weekly payroll
Tracking vendor payments and terms
Working directly with accountant through all steps of the accounting cycle including, New transactions, journal entries, posting, trial balances, worksheets, and journal entry adjustments
Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Experience with Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Commerce
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
CPE credits or CPA is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Willingness to work directly with accountant supervisor
Attention to detail & thoroughness
Strong suit in data entry
Ability to multitask in high pressure environment
Experience working in fast paced environment
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with spreadsheets
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Paypal
Ability to process large volume of complex data
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Compensation:
Salary Range: $55k-$75k based on experience
