    Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).

    PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

    Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:

    LVN TREATMENT NURSE

    The Treatment Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager in the daily operation of the medical component of the Adult Day Care Center. The treatment LVN's duties will include monitoring and maintaining skin integrity, health education of participants and families, the provision of treatments as per the treatment plan and as per the physician's orders in the medical record.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    ** 1. Provides treatments and patient care as appropriate and as ordered by the PCP under the Treatment Administration Record under the supervision of the Clinic Manager or the PCP.
    2. Works closely with the Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to follow up on participants as scheduled.
    3. Conducts home visits to provide treatments and focused assessments in the participants place of residence. Provides report on findings to the Participant Manager/PCP.
    4. Conducts monthly medication reviews on all assigned participants and reports any abnormal findings to the Participant Manager/PCP for follow up.
    5. Documents all participant care provided in the EMR.
    6. Provides education and supplies necessary to carry out wound care treatments to participants and caregivers for treatments done at home.
    7. Ensures adequate nursing supplies required for treatments in the center, as well as those done at place of residence.
    8. Maintains the wound care log, wound care checklist and foley tracking tool.
    9. Participates in daily IDT meetings as necessary.
    10. Provides weekly report on wound status in care planning meetings.
    11. Provides coverage for Medication and Consult nurses as needed.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.

    **QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    ** 1. A graduate of an accredited nursing program with a license to practice in the state of Texas as a Vocational Nurse.
    2. One year of experience in treatment, with a frail or elderly population preferred.
    3. Bilingual preferred.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Conduct safety training and education programs, and demonstrate the use of safety equipment
    • Maintains OSHA recordkeeping logs
    • Act as a liaison between field operations, corporate office, and Safety Management.
    • Conduct job-site tours and inspections
    • Monitors PPE equipment to maintain the adequate supply needed for the project
    • Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments, procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors
    • Participate in both customer and TBI safety meetings.
    • Investigate accidents to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future
    • Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance
    • Develop and maintain hygiene programs such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, and asbestos management plans
    • Collaborate with engineers and physicians to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment
    • Provide new-employee safety and field orientations, and develop materials for these presentations
    • Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials for analysis
    • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
    • Required to complete safety training including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, OSHA 10 training, Pulmonary Fit Testing, and Drug Testing.
