About the Role:

Join BrightStar Care of Conejo Valley and Coastal Los Angeles as a Licensed Nurse and provide compassionate, in-home care to patients of all ages—children, adults, and older adults. Bring your nursing expertise to families in their homes while enjoying a flexible schedule, short commutes, and the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

Shift Details:

Saturdays 10pm to 10am

Located in Simi Valley

Responsibilities:

Perform and manage catheter care, including maintenance, monitoring, and infection prevention

Provide skilled nursing care in patients’ homes across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician

Monitor and assess patient health status, vital signs, and clinical progress

Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, catheter care, and home care techniques

Respond promptly and professionally to changes in patient condition and emergency situations

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competency

Requirements:

Current California LVN license.

Experience in home health, hospice, or in-home care preferred.

Experience caring for adults with physical disabilities.

Must have experience providing catheter care, including proper maintenance, monitoring, and infection prevention in a clinical or home health setting.

Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
