    PURPOSE-DRIVEN NONPROFIT IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO! 

    WHAT WE DO 

    La Cocina is a purpose-driven multicultural and multilingual community codesigned mental health agency leading Latinx health equity and social justice in Colorado. The program's multidisciplinary team provides a range of services aimed at reducing inequities in mental health care by creating opportunities and generating offerings for Latinx families and communities to come together and heal through culturally attuned social-emotional support services in Spanish or bilingually (Spanish-English). La Cocina's services include a wide range of psychological and psychotherapeutic services for children, adults and families; as well as structured therapy groups and Charlas for adults and adolescents. The agency also offers case management, peer-supported programs, and forensic assessment services for individuals in immigration proceedings. Our teams provide trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive mental health services to Spanish-speaking Colorado families living in six+ counties, including Larimer, Weld, Eagle, Summit, Garfield, and greater Denver.  

    THE OPPORTUNITY  La Cocina is searching for a highly skilled, experienced, reliable, bilingual (Spanish/English) Executive Assistant to support the work of the agency's CEO and Founder. The Executive Assistant will work directly with the CEO and will be responsible for performing executive-level duties aimed at facilitating and supporting the critical work of the CEO. The ideal candidate will thrive as part of a busy, highly innovative growing organization. La Cocina seeks an administrative career professional who is self-motivated, organized, and has previous experience working in an executive capacity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise with and ability to anticipate and problem solve the executive's needs, manage their workload, and independently prioritize tasks.     WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

    The Executive Assistant will be responsible for a series of tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following: 

    • Oversee executive communications on behalf of the CEO including managing the CEO's calendar & schedule, receiving and making phone calls on behalf of the CEO, responding to emails and interfacing with stakeholders. 
    • Support the work of the CEO & Founder relative to Board of Directors related tasks. 
    • Review, draft, and/or proof documents on behalf of the CEO. 
    • Schedule and coordinate travel, manage travel itineraries, and complete travel reports/reimbursements. 
    • Schedule meetings and appointments. 
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee events, including fundraising events, workshops and/or retreats, trainings, Charlas, and other events as directed by the CEO. 
    • Take notes/minutes as directed for staff, client, Board meetings and other events, and prepare reports accordingly. 
    • Uphold and sustain an excellent level of professionalism among staff and clientele in order to facilitate optimal relationships between the CEO and the organization's stakeholders. 
    • Manage the CEO's office by interfacing with all vendors e.g. landlord, accountant, payroll provider, benefits provider, and numerous other vendors related to special events coordination & planning. 
    • Manage projects with discretion and decisive oversight on behalf of the CEO, and in service of the agency's clients. 
    • Work collaboratively across teams and systems, including with La Cocina's Office Manager, other leadership staff, and La Cocina's clients and stakeholders, and in the interest of optimal communication, and in support of advancing the work of the CEO. 
    • Process payment requests. 
    • Create and update files on an ongoing basis, and as directed by the CEO. 
    • Manage and coordinate online systems applications, including client management applications, including databases, evaluation applications, MailChimp, and others. 
    • Prepare and execute correspondence as directed, or as needed to maintain excellent stakeholder communications. 
    • Oversee marketing & communications tasks as assigned by the CEO, including PowerPoint presentations, talking points, advertising materials, etc. 
    • At times, travel with the CEO in order to provide support during key engagements and/or events. 
    • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

     

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION  

    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to senior management, and managing the office of a busy CEO or other Senior Executive. 
    • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted. 
    • Knowledge and high proficiency with Microsoft Office and GSuite skills, with an ability to become familiar with other applications used to support the CEO's work. 
    • Demonstrated expertise in managing a busy executive's calendar, email, and/or correspondence. 
    • Based on workflow, exceptional skills at anticipating the CEO's needs, and when necessary using critical thinking skills to troubleshoot in order to skillfully complete tasks. 
    • Impeccable organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and track multiple events and projects simultaneously. 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Friendly and professional demeanor. 
    • Excellent communications skills, including written and verbal communications. 
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including delegation or providing oversight to move projects/tasks forward with expediency and an eye for detail. 
    • Awareness and sensitivity around issues of cultural attunement/awareness, specifically related to work with Latinx communities. 
    • Fluent in Spanish and English. 
    • Ability to work optimally in a busy, high-paced environment. 
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings as weekends. 
    • Ability to travel between two offices: one in Denver and one in Fort Collins, as well as to other regions within Colorado based on needed support for the CEO.

    WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING 

    • Expected annual salary range of $58,000 - $68,000 based on experience

    • La Cocina currently operates in a hybrid environment. This role will be required to work out of two offices: one in Fort Collins and one in Denver with the possibility of some percentage of time working from home. It will also require periodic travel.
