    JOB SUMMARY

    La Cocina's Infant Mental Health (IMH) Programs Coordinator is a full-time coordinator position that is responsible for the administrative oversight of key infancy and early childhood mental health programs which center La Cocina's impacted populations by: 1. Understanding community needs from a culturally relevant and affirming lens; 2. Co-designing program domains and prototypes based on those needs; 3. Facilitating processes that mobilize the strength of community resources; 4. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders; 5. Generates community-grounded approaches to delivery of community-based mental health and wellness services and/or capacity building; and 6. Provides supervision and management support to program staff. This role has substantial interaction with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities, organizations, funding sources, and partner agencies. The ideal candidate will be expert in managing these aspects of La Cocina's IMH programs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Programmatic Effort(s)

    • Plans and oversees program strategic planning and execution for assigned programs, grants, and contracts ensuring best practice approaches are maintained in program design and implementation including by implementing community co-design principles that build equitable outcomes.
    • Anticipates, plans, and executes on program goals, objectives, outcomes, measurements, and reporting.
    • Ensures program performance through delivery of key aspects of program, grant, and/or contract requirements and deliverables, and supports contractual compliance by ensuring that all service commitments, documentation, and budgetary requirements are followed in accordance with La Cocina's excellent standards delivered through the agency's mental health equity framework, and under the supervision of the IMH Programs Supervisor.
    • Participates in, and builds program alignment through strategic planning, and work plan development in the benefit of balancing community needs with contractual compliance/obligations.
    • Oversees and conducts strategic outreach, executing marketing strategies, and outreach activities that support promotion of the program(s) as a whole, and in collaboration with La Cocina's Marketing & Development Specialist.
    • Identifies opportunities for collaboration and strategic alignment of the program's goals with stakeholders (both internal and external).
    • Works Collaboratively with clinical teams to facilitate seamless integration between the clinical and contractual and/or programmatic aspects of their programs.
    • Plans, implements and/or supports research and evaluation activities to facilitate seamless delivery of program evaluation, data collection projects, and/or data promotion opportunities.
    • Learns, understands and manages delivery of comprehensive program evaluation based on La Cocina's data equity framework.
    • Plans and participates in Charlas and dialogues with stakeholders including youth, families, organizations, allied professionals, and/or governing bodies.
    • Participates in grant writing as needed to build program sustainability.
    • Willing to train in La Cocina's Liberation Psychology tenets, and attends other training as indicated.
    • Supervises contractors as needed to deliver on program goals and objectives. This includes identifying staffing and/or workforce needs; as well as developing, motivating, and rewarding qualified individuals.
    • Participates in weekly supervision, as well as bi-monthly all-staff meetings.
    • Is expert at planning and executing seamless events and/or programming community workshops.
    • May be required to coordinate other programmatic activities as needed, and based on their assessment of needs, La Cocina's strategic goals, and/or their supervisor's input.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • At least three years of expert -level experience designing, coordinating, programming and/or managing events and/or programs. Qualified candidates with nonprofit program management and/or coordination experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
    • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external partners, clinicians, trainees and other stakeholders, and as part of a community-based approach to program coordination and/or management.
    • Keen awareness and sensitivity around issues of cultural relevance, specifically related to work with Latine communities. This includes proficiency and sensitivity recognizing and working with diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Willingness to learn and engage with La Cocina's abolitionist principles in designing, planning, and executing program-based activities.
    • Excellent and demonstrably efficient communications skills, including written and verbal communications, with the ability to produce a wide range of professional and clinical written products, including proposals, marketing materials, reports, correspondence, curricula, procedural planning documents, etc.
    • Ability to receive and give feedback, including in group staff settings.
    • Expert ability using project-management software and applications, including Monday.com.
    • Impeccable organizational skills, ability to identify, track and report on programs progress and deliverables, including by providing regularly scheduled written reports.
    • Keen attention to details, and a strong creative drive that generates innovative solutions and outcomes to the work of coordinating and/or managing projects, programs and events.
    • Ability to design and implement program evaluation(s) that support organizational learning and program growth.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Required:

    • At least three years of demonstrable experience coordinating and/or managing programs, projects and/or events required.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate team collaborations, including with external partnerships and/or contributors.
    • At least a bachelor's degree in project management, business development, program management, nonprofit program management, or similar/related field of study. Candidates without a bachelor's degree who have significant relevant professional experience may be considered, and are encouraged to apply.
    • Experience training, managing, coordinating and successfully motivating program volunteers and/or teams, including having the ability to provide feedback and assisting with team related conflict resolution.

    Preferred:

    • Fluency in Spanish and English.
    • Grants management and/or grant-writing skills.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position requires four (4) days in the office and one day working from home. The IMH Programs Coordinator may be based out of either La Cocina's Northern Colorado or Denver's office location(s) and depending on the IMH Programs Coordinator's place of residence. Both North Colorado and Denver applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. That said, it is important to note that regardless of the candidate's “home base,” La Cocina requires all employees to spend time in both offices. Applicants who are unwilling or unable to meet this requirement need not apply. This position also requires periodic travel to partner agencies throughout Northern Colorado, the Denver Metro Area, statewide, and may involve minimal travel out-of-state.

    HOURS

    Requires availability some evenings and weekends, particularly when overseeing La Cocina's programs/events. La Cocina offers all employees Flex Time benefits, which supports a work-life balance for all staff.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finder, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

    MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT USED

    Ability to operate all general office equipment including computer and related software, printer, copier, fax, and phones. Ability to operate and drive vehicles for work related travel, meetings, and to run errands.

    CLASSIFICATION & PAY

    This is a full-time (40 hours/week), exempt position and is eligible for benefits stated in the Employee Handbook and required by law. This position's salary range is $65,000-$75,000 per year, or negotiable based on applicants' qualifications.
