    JOB SUMMARY
    La Cocina's Staff Clinicians provide bilingual (Spanish-English) mental health services, including evaluation(s), psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, case management, and program support as directed by their direct supervisor and/or the Clinical Director. This position plays a significant role in advancing and growing Colorado's only Latine Psychology and applied Latine mental healthcare program(s), and supports La Cocina's mission and vision by advancing equitable, practice-based programming that centers the clinical needs of Latine, Latinx and/or Hispanic-identified individuals, families and communities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities for this position include, and are not limited to the following:

    Provide Clinical Services (65-75% of time)

    • Maintain a client caseload of 18-22 cases, or as directed by the clinician's supervisor.
    • Trains in La Cocina's Liberation Psychology approaches, including LiBRC (Liberation-Based Reflective Consultation ©) and other foundational training frameworks intended to build expertise in equitable and liberatory mental healthcare delivery frameworks and narratives.
    • Conducts culturally-affirming mental health and/or psychological assessment; this includes utilizing best practice approaches and innovation in care when conducting therapeutic evaluation that centers Latine clients' needs, and as directed by their supervisor..
    • Provides developmentally sensitive, trauma-informed individual, couples, family and/or group psychotherapy services in both Spanish and English, and in certain cases is able to train others in these service provisions as directed by their supervisor.
    • In some cases, provides home-based, school-based, community-based, and/or collocated mental health and/or family support services which align with clinical program areas and as directed by their supervisor.

    Other Duties (25-35% of the time)

    • Connects clients with resources, referrals, ancillary services, and provides case management as needed, and/or as indicated by their supervisor.
    • Remains compliant with all required clinical documentation, including maintaining up-to-date case files, progress notes, treatment plans, etc., per La Cocina Clinician's Handbook, and per DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) statutes. This includes time for monthly self-audit as directed by their supervisor.
    • Is proactive and creative in proposing, designing and executing clinical programming that meets the needs of La Cocina's clients, including by designing and leading culturally-affirming groups, psychoeducational Charlas, and community events which are therapeutic and supportive of community, family and individual healing processes.
    • Supports outreach, engagement, and community-codesign efforts in the community, which may include coordination with, and outreach to community partners and stakeholders, and supports development of outreach materials, program recruitment and registration, etc.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with community organizations and/or partners to better meet the needs of clients, and to promote services coordination.
    • Provides support to La Cocina's program teams as directed by their direct supervisor and/or the Director of Programs, supporting programming with a liberatory approach to clinical services, and in collaboration with programs and operations team members.
    • Trains in, and learns up-to-date frameworks, theories, and treatment methods, including, but not limited to: Latine Psychology, Liberation Psychology, trauma-informed care, group psychotherapy, and relational approaches to working with families, children and youths.
    • Works collaboratively with colleagues and teams, including program teams and training staff.
    • Depending on qualifications and/or professional interests, may qualify to provide supervision to other La Cocina clinicians, in which case will be required to train in La Cocina's LiBRC model.
    • Attends monthly staff meetings in the interest of building community and advancing La Cocina's mission and values.
    • Assists with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Licensed and/or registered with DORA in the state of Colorado, including as a licensure-seeking candidate. Proof of up-to-date licensure and/or DORA candidacy registration required. Candidates licensed out-of-state, and who seek relocation are welcome to apply.

    • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.

    • Demonstrated clinical skill in clinical assessment and/or evaluation, treatment and crisis intervention while working from a Latine social justice perspective.

    • Strong organizational, self-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support multiple cases as part of a well-scaffolded clinical load.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent communications skills, including written and verbal communications.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advance La Cocina's mission, vision and values.

    • Proficiency and sensitivity working with Latine social justice movements, and with matters pertaining to oppression, discrimination, racism, with a demonstrated record of balancing a strong social justice stance with best clinical practice standards.

    • Ability to receive and give feedback, both in supervisory spaces, as well as from other members of La Cocina's collaborative team(s)..

    • Must sign La Cocina Clinician's Handbook, agreeing to maintaining full clinical compliance.

    • Must be willing to undergo a full suite of background checks, including fingerprinting.

    • Must maintain licensure and/or candidacy status and professional malpractice insurance.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Must have completed a clinical masters or doctoral degree from an accredited higher learning institution in psychology, counseling, family therapy, clinical social work, and/or other related fields of clinical study.
    • Must be willing to provide proof of degree requirements completion.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position requires four (4) days in-person, in La Cocina's offices, and one day working from home/virtually. The Bilingual Staff Clinician selected for this job will be based out of La Cocina's Denver, Colorado office and will support clients both in-person and virtually. The position also requires one-day per week in person at La Cocina's Fort Collins office, as well as periodic travel to partner agencies throughout Northern Colorado, the Denver Metro Area, statewide, and may involve minimal travel out-of-state. Candidates adverse to working in person, in the office need not apply.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of up to 20 pounds. It also requires employees to carry a laptop computer and corresponding/adjacent equipment.

    MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT USED

    Ability to operate all general office equipment including computer and related software, printer, copier, fax, and phones. Ability to operate and drive vehicles for work related travel, meetings, and to run errands directly connected to the execution of this role.

    CLASSIFICATION & PAY

    This is a full-time, exempt position and is eligible for benefits. The starting salary range for this position is $70,000-80,000, or may be negotiated based on candidates' experience and/or professional qualifications.
