    LJL has a contingent opening for a NETWORK ARCHITECT to join our team in San Diego. This position will support the design of computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and troubleshoot a standard distributed deployment with indexer and search head clustering
    • Propose new networking technologies in support of LANs, WANs, and wireless networks for inclusion in future designs
    • Develop detailed end-to-end network performance assessments
    • Deploy, manage, sustain, and troubleshoot complex Splunk Enterprise environments.
    • Develop Concepts of Operations, Requirements, Basis of Design, and critical design documents and drawings

    EDUCATION:

    • Minimum BS degree in related field and at least seven (7) years of experience in skills identified above OR Formal degree requirement may be evaluated and waived if applicant provides ten (10) years of experience in skills identified above “organizational and analytical skills”

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level II (ex: Security+ CE)
    • Cisco Certified Architect or similar commercial enterprise network architect certification

    CLEARANCE:

    • Minimum security clearance of TOP SECRET; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Thorough understanding of Splunk Deployment Methodology and best practices for planning, data collection, and sizing for a distributed deployment
    • Experience performing network engineering and architecting duties on projects that support at least 1,000 users either internationally or across CONUS
    • Demonstrated support of Network Operations Center Security Operations Center functions such as continuous monitoring, operating, reporting, detection, investigation, and defending and maintaining the telecommunications, networks, and cyber security components
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Demonstrated experience in enterprise IT telecommunications and networks with emphasis in DoD capabilities
    • Demonstrated experience in telecommunications and networks transformation and modernization planning to optimize and improve efficiency of services, and enhance network design
    • Demonstrated experience with telecommunications and networks in Cloud environments, including hybrid cloud
    • Experience with NIST SP 800 series information security management aligned to Enterprise telecommunications and networks
