The Gist of It:
The DevSecOps Engineer plans and executes system development and security strategies. They develop best practices and infrastructure as code for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of software development pipelines and production systems. The DevSecOps Engineer develops documentation to enable rapid adoption and utilization of standard architectures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, tests, integrates, debugs, and analyzes system architectures to provide scalable and reliable services composing of custom software and commercial solutions.
Participates in Agile Teams to plan, develop and maintain systems.
Assesses and monitors systems to address risks and vulnerabilities, and maintain system configuration.
Design and develops automation and deployment processes.
Designs and develops automated testing of infrastructure and systems-level testing
Hardens operating systems, infrastructure, and platforms.
Evaluates technologies and plans for their integration into systems.
Provides expert judgement on operating systems, virtual machine hypervisor, Amazon Web Services, container orchestration, service meshes, and provisioning management systems
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or professional experience in systems engineering and automation is required. Other requirements are:
