La Jolla Veterinary Clinic

La Jolla Veterinary Hospital is a 3 doctor GP clinic. We have new IDEXX lab equipment, digital x-ray, a dedicated surgical suite and are newly renovated!! Our hospital is led by an amazing Medical Director who is experienced in both small and large animal medicine. Her priority is creating a sustainable work life balance for everyone, and does her absolute best to reflect that in scheduling.

We are seeking an Associate DVM who is passionate about mentorship. Our ideal person would be a partner to our Medical Director to help establish protocols and provide real time guidance to our newer veterinarians.

Living in La Jolla

Our hospital is smack center in La Jolla Village. We are 3 blocks away from some of the most beautiful beaches San Diego has to offer. La Jolla is a pedestrian heavy town, so the streets are very friendly to bikes and walking. We are also a hub for the hard sciences, much of the industry here composed of clinical research, pharmaceuticals, marine biology and human medicine.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Supports excellence in client experience
• Works collaboratively with HM and Medical Director
• Practices high quality, gold standard medicine
• Passionate about mentorship

Competencies And Experience:

• Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of CA
• 2-5 years of clinical experience, preferred but not required
• Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Time-management and delegation abilities
• Exercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
• Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
