    Job Title: Horticultural Specialist

    La Rosa Landscape Company is seeking an experienced landscape professional to join our team as the Horticulture Specialist reporting to the Director of Maintenance. This position will oversee crews, lead in training and improve landscape efficiencies.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee planting, bed maintenance and other lawn care operations

    Oversee landscape maintenance projects

    Demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to detail skills

    Maintain accurate project paperwork, records & receipts

    Exhibit strong plant knowledge through plant identification, proper planting technique and plant care

    Availability during winter months to participate in snow removal activities

    Interact with customers and coordinate with crew members to provide optimum services

    Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity including working with a team or independently

    Analyze future needs, forecasting staff and material needs to complete future jobs

    Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality

    Assist with employee coaching, training and development within the landscape maintenance division

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    Positive advocate; Strong role model; Great leadership skills; Able to lead by example; Teamwork driven

    Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.

    3-5 years of previous landscape experience

    Must have current WI state pesticide applicator license 3.0 (5.0 is desired)

    Valid WI state driver’s license and acceptable driving record; Able to drive to job locations daily

    Knowledgeable of how to protect trees and plants from diseases and insect infestations

    Extensive knowledge about botany, growing seasons and climate zones is essential

    Follow direction & work independently at times

    Strong mathematical skills

    Bilingual is desired, not required
