Job Title: Detail Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader

La Rosa Landscape Company is seeking a landscape professional to join our team as a Detail Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader reporting to the Director of Maintenance. This employee will lead, participate and perform various landscape, horticultural functions and equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

Employee is responsible for procurement of materials, work orders, and record-keeping for each site

Perform and manage landscape projects and maintenance tasks on customers property

Work in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance to ensure work is implemented efficiently and according to the contract specifications

Assist with directing, overseeing and participating in work performed by the team. This is a very hands-on position and requires this person to work alongside crew

Manage and perform all tasks with spring operations included but not limited to leaf and debris removal, bed edging and mulch installation

Manage and perform all maintenance tasks including but not limited to string trimming, edging, blowing of curbs and sidewalks

Assist with teaching and training, to ensure proper procedures and processes are followed and ensure quality of work is achieved

Hand pull weeds as necessary. Spray Roundup if certified as a technician

Help to clean site by removing trash, limbs, rocks, debris etc.

Prune shrubs remove shrub and tree debris

Oversee proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of the crew

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Residential and/or commercial landscaping experience (1 year)

Valid WI state driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Experience with equipment (hedge trimmers, string trimmers, etc.)

Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Must be self-motivated and possess strong leadership, organizational and communication skills

Must be detail oriented and quality driven

Must have the ability to think proactively, plan and problem solve

Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team

Previous landscape experience organizing and managing crew members and sites
