Librarian - International Baccalaureate (IB) Grades K- 8, Part Time
Job Description
The Librarian will provide educational and pedagogical leadership, guiding collaborative investigations with teachers and students, in addition to developing and managing the school library.
Librarians are co-creators of information within the school and the wider community. They challenge learners to seek appropriate information, to use sound methods of inquiry and research, and teach them to question the information they find and use. Librarians act as curators of information, caretakers of content and people, catalysts of people and services, and connectors to sources of information, multi-literacies, and reading.
The Librarian oversees the continued growth and maintenance of the collection, ensures that circulation, cataloging and processing services function effectively, and supervises support staff.
The role will report dually to Elementary and Middle School Directors and is estimated at roughly 18-20 hours per week roughly three days on campus, schedule to be determined.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Prior to beginning work and as a condition of employment in order to comply with the law, all employees must provide documentation to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
In addition, the final candidate will need to pass both Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance and a physical exam, and provide a recent copy of a negative TB test and other immunization records.

Estimated annual salary range: $35 - $38 per hour depending on credentials, qualifications and experience.
