    They are looking for a user experience/interface (UX/UI) designer to help them make it even easier to build applications on their platform. You will play a key role in designing the user experience for a new era of software and help develop a new integrated and visual developer environment that leverages a suite of developer tools their customers use to solve problems. As part of the Application Development Technology and Tools (ADTT) team, your initial focus will include components like visual debugging tools and graphical hybrid algorithm construction. In this role, you can expect to contribute to the team’s continuing success and be challenged to grow your career in new and innovative ways in an agile environment.

    In this role you will be:

    • Guiding projects through all aspects of the design process, from research through pixel-perfect mock-up’s and execution

    • Documenting detailed user flows, creating wireframes and other visual assets

    • Presenting designs, and integrating feedback or iterating to meet changing requirements

    • Helping the team push our UI and UX standards forward while keeping up on current trends and customer feedback

    • Conducting research to understand user demographics, and representing and advocating for end-users

    • Coordinating user testing, communicating findings, and incorporating iteratively into the design

    • Working closely with stakeholders to transform business requirements into well-articulated, functional requirements

    • Providing direction and feedback to a diverse team of programmers as your project is being developed

    You will bring to this role:

    • 2 - 5 years of relevant graphic design experience (in a similar role is an asset)

    • A diploma in UI/UX, visual design, interaction design or a related field would be ideal

    • Solid understanding of design best practices, current design frameworks, and UI/UX trends

    • Exposure to tools such as Ketch, Figma, Invision, Miro, Framer, Adobe suites, Principle

    • Knowledge of web design and architecture, and understanding of different browser capabilities/limitations

    • Front end coding languages (HTML, JavaScript); Python is an asset

    • Able to create UX/UI design from concept to final hand-off to the development team, incorporating visual hierarchy, typography, iconography and color theory effectively

    • Willing to introduce new methodologies and practices in an enterprise environment

    • Able to work effectively in a distributed team environment

    • Strong written and verbal communications skills

    • Requirements gathering, competitive and market analysis, usability testing, or research methods experience is an asset

    • The manager is specifically looking for design experience targeting a technical audience, dashboard design, visualization tools, design sprint workshops, wrapping prototype, big data/heavy data exposure, leadership, usability testing, and a strong research/ UX background
