Our client is part of the technology community that is supporting drug discovery research.

This team of analytical chemists are developing and routinely executing production runs in the Discovery Biology space.

We are an automated cloud laboratory with services focusing on high throughput screening, biochemical and cell-based assays, synthetic biology, and genomics. In this role, you will execute production assays with a combination of manual support and lab automation, help generate and collect data supporting the reproducibility and quality control on our system, and assist in developing and implementing tools to increase operational efficiency. This includes reagent and buffer preparations, performing regular instrument and workcell maintenance, managing reagent and consumables inventory and procurement, and supporting assay development and transfer within the organization.

 You Have

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering)

• 3+ years of wetlab hands-on experience in industry (molecular biology, drug discovery or synthetic biology)

• Experience with basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting, buffer and media preparations, inventory management, PCR, cell work (mammalian or microbial)

• Familiarity with quality systems and performing validation studies

• Strong organization abilities with great attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• The ability to translate a high-level goal into action with minimal further guidance

• Comfortable in a fast-paced and autonomous environment

• Interested in gaining additional lab and automation experience

• A natural organizer with experience in google tools

You Might Have

• Work experience and familiarity in lab automation

• A basic understanding of Python, Unix and/or MySQL

• Some previous engineering experience

• Customer service experience

• Experience with lab regulations and compliance in California
