A full-time commitment is required for this role. There is a team in the Silicon Valley, but everyone else is remote.
Responsibilities
- Lead the User Experience team to build out the complete web-based UI our client's platform
- Be the SME for the UI technologies for this platform. Everyone else is backend focused, so we need you to be an expert at building dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, founders etc to understand technical requirements and translate them into concrete product goals / implementation plans.
- Incorporate best practices within engineering to factor in user experience, security, self-service, scalability and performance when designing the UI architecture
- Develop, maintain, and enhance a repository of UI design guidelines / patterns, code samples, and reusable UI components
Requirements
- Has extensive real-world experience with web based UI technologies, writes high-quality UI code in production and demonstrates principles of good UI design
- Has deep experience in interaction design and has a passion for user-centered design with a critical eye towards clear visuals
- Extensive UI development experience using JS-based technologies like React, Angular, Typescript etc. Deep experience in building applications using HTML5/CSS3/Javascript.
- Deep understanding and experience with asynchronous processing, partial page refresh and DOM traversal and manipulation. Experience with both XML / JSON.
- Experience with REST API construction, documentation, and architecture, including API description languages like Swagger.
- Working proficiency in User Experience design: interaction design, data visualization and layout
- Advanced knowledge of wire framing / prototyping tools and methodologies
- Experience developing multi-channel, mobile-responsive and mobile-adaptive UI
- Experience in enterprise or SaaS development

- Google Material Design principles and coding
