Fulltime opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager in the Phoenix Metro (Chandler,AZ).
MUST HAVE experience with structural steel.
This person will lead a team while having administrative oversight, ultimately driving success.
In addition to general leadership, the Project Manager is responsible for the following:
- Manage Assistant Project Managers (APM) and Project Engineers and any other office worker supporting the project. Experience managing in-house and 3rd party detailers.
- Must possess a strong background in Request for Information RFI and work with PE and or APM to ensure RFI content is clear, concise and meets the needs of the project. Help escalate hot RFIs and/or facilitate complicated or Dynamic RFIs
- Drive project estimates, manage budgets, and forecast staffing needs, fostering effective communication to ensure superintendent accountability.
- Become an expert in project scope, overseeing design changes, and managing the intricate details of design-build contracts, optimizing constructability for cost-effective solutions.
- Develop strategic plans for material delivery, liaising effectively with the fabrication team to ensure timely project support.
- Navigate the Request for Information (RFI) process, facilitate complex RFIs, and oversee submittal schedules, ensuring clear communication and meeting project deadlines.
- Solicit, assess, and manage subcontractors and vendors, demonstrating expertise in contract negotiations and change management.
Requirements Include:
- A bachelor's degree in a construction/technical field preferred, coupled with three years of structural steel experience as an Assistant Project Manager in large-scale construction projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all phases of building construction, adeptness in contract negotiations, and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, complemented by experience in Navisworks, Trimble, Bluebeam, Vista, or Tekla, empowering seamless project management.
