    Our innovative client is speeding up the drug discovery process with accuracy, helping the top global pharma companies find solutions for our survival.

    We are currently interviewing candidates for their Research Associate roles.

    These roles are part of the Science Team and will support the development of new assays and routinely execute production runs in the Discovery Biology space.

    In this role, you will execute production assays with a combination of manual support and lab automation, help generate and collect data supporting the reproducibility and quality control on our system, and assist in developing and implementing tools to increase operational efficiency. This includes reagent and buffers preparations, performing regular instrument and workcell maintenance, managing reagent, and consumables inventory and procurement, and supporting assay development and transfer within the organization.

    Minimum Requirements include:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology)

    • 2+ years of wet lab hands-on experience in the industry (molecular biology, drug discovery or synthetic biology)

    • Experience with basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting, buffer and media preparations, inventory management, PCR, cell work (aseptic technique)

    • Ability to read and execute off of a written scientific protocol

    • Familiarity with quality systems and performing validation studies

    • Strong organization abilities with great attention to detail

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

     

    You Might Have

    • Work experience and familiarity in lab automation

    • A basic understanding or willingness to learn Python, Unix, and/or MySQL

    • Customer service experience

    • Experience with lab regulations and compliance in California

    • Experience in a high throughput setting

    • Experience with assay development

    • Experience working in GMP, GLP, CLIA environments
