    Our client is a privately held construction company specializing in large-scale demolition and recycling projects. With an annual revenue exceeding $200 million, they have established themselves as a leader in the industry, known for their expertise, innovation, and commitment to sustainable practices.

    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team and provide financial leadership and guidance to support the company's success.

    The CFO will play a critical role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of our construction company. Working closely with the CEO and executive team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring financial stability, driving growth, and optimizing profitability. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, strong financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
    • Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making by the executive team.
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
    • Monitor and optimize financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
    • Drive financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate project profitability, cost control measures, and risk management strategies.
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role within the construction industry.
    • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, project costing, and financial controls.
    • Proven knowledge and negotiation skills working with benefit providers, company 401K plans, and other retirement vehicles.
    • Excellent financial analysis, strategic planning, and forecasting skills.
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing financial operations in a high-growth environment.
    • Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.
    • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a finance team.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental regulations in the construction industry is a plus.
