We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automation Scientist with strong chemistry and programming experience to participate in the refinement and programming of our state-of-the-art automated chemical synthesis and purification platform, ultimately helping to fully integrate it into our client's platform.
In addition, you will work cross-functionally with the science, product and software engineering teams to continue the development of the automated organic synthesis and purification platform.
You Have
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering, with strong background in programming
- Strong understanding of programming concepts and logic in preferably Java, Python, or C#
- Background in chemistry, understanding driving factors in chemical reactions
- Demonstrated experience programming automated lab equipment in vendor specific software to overcome scientific challenges
- Ability to write software to automate and integrate devices
- Knowledge of Linux and strong knowledge of Windows and their command lines
- Knowledge of source code control practices and git
- Experience working as part of a diverse team
- A passion for new automation technologies for chemistry and drug discovery
You may have
- Familiarity with Chemspeed Arksuite software
- Familiarity with Zinsser software
- Deep interest in learning and leveraging advanced synthetic and analytical techniques
- Exceptional proficiency with oral and written communication
- Experience working in biotech drug discovery settings
